Hi folks! Have you become bogged down by life's challenges, slowly strayed from your path, or become stuck in a pattern that isn't serving you? Everyday trials that result in loss of confidence, happiness, meaning, and resilience are the struggles I help with; such as family conflict, grieving, addiction, and more. I assist couples, families, and individuals by prioritizing their needs and empowering them to use their innate strengths to accomplish their goals. I provide an emotionally safe environment to help facilitate exploration of the past, create peace for the present, and hope for the future. I can provide therapy in an active and direct manner, or as an open and empathetic ear; the choice is yours. Regardless, sessions with me will be interactive and productive (with a heavy dose of humor as needed). While CBT, DBT, and Gottman are the approaches I primarily rely on, I utilize an eclectic variety to better suit my client's needs. As a fellow human being that believes we are all perfectly imperfect, I understand how easy it is to become stuck. I truly see the humanity in all people and I connect by providing a safe space for people of diverse races, ages, gender identities, sexualities, and abilities. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Portland State University and my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. In my spare time I enjoy reading, playing video games, backpacking, live music, crafting and watching my infant son get in to things he shouldn’t! I am a pre-licensed provider. This is a step all licensed therapists go through on their path to full licensure. My supervisor at Minnesota Online Counseling is Heather Rouillard, MA, LMFT, License #3736.
