I’m a licensed clinical social worker and founder of Malaer Mental Health Services, PLLC—a fully virtual therapy practice serving individuals across Texas. My work is rooted in compassion, clinical integrity, and a deep respect for the complex intersections of trauma, chronic illness, identity, and resilience. My path to this work began over a decade ago in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, where I specialized in transplant and LVAD (left ventricular assist device) psychosocial care. Through years of supporting patients and families facing life-altering medical conditions, I came to understand that healing often begins not with a diagnosis—but with being heard. Today, I specialize in helping adults who are navigating the emotional impact of chronic health conditions, medical trauma, anxiety, grief, burnout, and relational struggles. Many of my clients are caregivers, frontline professionals, or individuals living with invisible illnesses who have learned to survive by pushing through—often at the cost of their emotional well-being. In our work together, we focus on reclaiming your sense of agency and self-worth, learning how to set compassionate boundaries, and building a more resilient, values-driven life. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and trauma-informed practices to offer both structure and flexibility in the healing process. You’ll often leave sessions with a tangible strategy, reflection exercise, or moment of insight to carry with you. Therapy is not just about symptom relief—it's about reimagining what’s possible. If you’re looking for a grounded, collaborative, and affirming space to do that, I’d be honored to walk that path with you.
