Hi! I’m Kristin, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in South Carolina. I obtained a Master of Science in Forensic Psychology from Arizona State University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. Prior to beginning my career in the mental health field, I spent 6 years in law enforcement. I believe that each client and their situation is unique. Therefore, I utilize various modalities to tailor treatment to each client’s specific needs. I work with individuals, age 18 and older, who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, relationship concerns and difficult life transitions. I am trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and I specialize in working with military, first responders, and first responder/military spouses or partners. I understand that asking for help can be difficult. Throughout my time in law enforcement and my current career as a counselor, I have always been “the helper.” Individuals in helping professions sometimes feel that they shouldn’t seek help for themselves. I have learned, and truly come to believe, that seeking therapy is not something that anyone should be ashamed of. My goal is to make sure each of my clients feels validated and supported. I hope I have the opportunity to support you throughout your healing journey. I do not currently accept insurance. However, I can accept payment via credit or debit cards and HSA cards. I can also provide a superbill upon request.
