I believe that most people are generally doing the best they can. However, sometimes our best efforts create patterns in our lives that leave us feeling defeated. We exhaust ourselves exerting energy into our lives without seeing tangible change. I can promise that "stuck" does not have to be forever. Change is waiting for us if we are willing to look at ourselves with honesty and compassion. I am no stranger to pain. Because of that I can sit with you in yours. Trauma is my main area of focus but I also routinely work with individuals experiencing depressive and anxious symptoms. I also work with couples and families. I believe that clients are the experts of their own experiences and tend to take a client-centered approach. Seeking out a therapist is a courageous first step and finding the right fit is crucial to your healing. I view first appointments as a "try out" between you and I. If you'd like to test out the working relationship between us please feel free to reach out.
