Would you describe your life as feeling like a dumpster-fire lately? Are you super anxious and wish everyone/life would stop asking more things of you? Do you have a lot of anxiety not having control of everything? Do you often say 'yes' when you want to say 'no'? Do you feel like you're pretending your way through life? If it's a 'yes' to any of these, you and I may be a good therapist-client match. I invite you to reach out for an initial phone consultation (a 15 minute phone call for you and me to see if I am a good skills and personality match). Any by the by, while therapy sounds serious and vulnerable, it is also full of moments of laughter and relief. A LITTLE ABOUT ME: I am a millennial therapist who does not keep a neutral face in sessions, which means I show empathy, compassion, concern, etc. on my face. I believe clients need a person sitting across from them, not a robot. I have a double BA in Linguistics and Anthropology from the University of Florida and earned my Masters' in Community Mental Health Counseling from the University of Rochester in western New York in 2014. I have worked as a therapist in NY, WA, OR, and CO. (I am licensed in OR and CO.) Having been a therapist for over a decade, I have gained a lot of experience with anxiety, depression, codependency, grief, family dysfunction (conflict, enmeshment, estrangement, DV, abuse), trauma, perfectionism, BPD, CPTSD, eating disorders and body image concerns, ADHD, and general life challenges/transitions. I have worked both in community mental health and group practice. I spent many years counseling children and teens in addition to adults. I am currently only accepting adult clients.
