They say that life is a journey. For some that word may kindle images of young adults backpacking across Europe and having adventures. Many of us don't see the word as a light hearted adventure though. Some us hear the word 'journey' and have the image of a hundred bags being moved forward one at a time, feeling so heavy that you just want to give up. "Life isn't supposed to be this hard," we say. "I'm never gonna get there," we say. "If God wanted me to do that, he'd make it easy" we say. You can choose to keep moving those heavy bags forward one at a time. You might even be able to find others who might carry a bag for you, lightening your load and burdening theirs. Or, you can try to empty some of those bags and lighten your trip. Dump some of those suitcases and make things easier to carry. I don't know what's slowing you down, but if it's interfering with your journey, consider making a change. I come alongside my clients on their journeys, and help them identify what they want to change, what they're willing to change, and what is holding them back from the life they want to live. You're not broken. You're burdened, maybe overwhelmed even, but change is around the corner if you choose it. The weight of the load can be lifted. The anxiety, fears, habits, depression, self-harming behaviors don't need to stick around - we all can change. I can help you change. I'm not for everyone. I'm direct and call things out if they need to be, but even if I'm not the one to help you, if you are struggling, please find help with someone.
