Kristen has several years of experience working with adults, children and families. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Youngstown State University in 2007. She went on to earn her Masters of Science in Social Administration Degree from Case Western Reserve University in 2013. She has been a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Ohio since 2008 and received her Independent license in 2015. Kristen currently works with all ages and a wide variety of presenting problems. She works with individuals, specializing in struggles related to raising children, anxiety, depression, anger management, trauma, and stress of life changes such as going to college, changing jobs, and new relationships. Joining Mettã Wellness is a process that enables you to work through the effects of emotional difficulties, as well as your relationships with others. Working together she will help you achieve deeper self-awareness so you can understand and identify the underlying feelings. Moving past isolation to help you find more connections with others, within yourself, and to the world around. We will collaborate in an open, challenging, and warm environment. We will work together to better understand your personal challenges and gain more self-acceptance, well-being, and empowerment by using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Therapy. Kristen’s therapy style is compassionate and honest. She optimistic and truly believe that everyone has their own strengths that are just waiting to be tapped into.
