Introduction
Hi I'm Krista, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked in the field of social work since 2011 and have been providing mental health therapy in different settings to individuals, groups, and families with a range of needs and symptoms since 2015. My approach is person centered and relational to assist in building a foundation of trust and safety, which can lead to increased ability to process, sense, and build awareness. This creates space for us to accept (only what is needed) and change (only what is needed). I am able to draw upon many modalities/approaches based on your goals and preferred therapy style. Examples: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as other trauma informed and family systems approaches. Everyone possesses qualities that help us survive, thrive, and navigate life. At times, thoughts, emotions, memories, habits, relationships, situations, etc.. can make things really challenging.
