After graduating from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1996, Kris began his career working with Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. He earned his Masters Degree in Counselor Education in 2001, and became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2008. Since then Kris has also worked in Inpatient Psychiatric and Outpatient Settings. He has received training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy with children. Kris works with individuals experiencing challenges with past trauma, grief, anxiety, relationship difficulty, and substance abuse. He utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, and Reality Therapy. His approach utilizes genuineness and acceptance while working to change beliefs, thinking, and behavior that contribute to an individual’s challenges. Kris enjoys spending time with his wife of 19+ years and daughter along with their dog and, most of the time, their cat. He enjoys the outdoors by hiking, camping, and running.
