Kim is a licensed specialist clinical social worker who believes in the human potential to thrive despite life’s difficulties. Kim aims to partner with clients in a safe and supportive environment to foster hope, healing, and lasting change. Approaching challenges with a strengths-based perspective, Kim strives to help clients enhance self-awareness, self-compassion, and skills to promote lifelong growth and wellness. Kim completed her undergraduate degree in Family Studies and Human Services with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from Kansas State University. She worked as a Head Start teacher and then a community advocate with at-risk youth and families for 11 years. Kim received her Master of Social Work degree from Washburn University in 2017. Kim completed practicums with St. Francis Community Services and the USD383 school district. She went on to work for 5 years as a school social worker, assisting students to develop skills to manage behavioral and emotional challenges. Kim also has worked as a therapist in private practice and at Pawnee Mental Health’s Crisis Stabilization Unit. Kim offers individual therapy services for children (ages 5+), adolescents, and adults.
