Meet the Founder: Kim Ream Owner and Founder of Ream Functional Strength & Wellness, LLC Hi, I’m Kim, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT), ACE Certified Health Coach, Group fitness instructor certified in many formats, and the proud founder of Ream Functional Strength & Wellness, LLC. I created this space with one mission in mind: to make wellness accessible, sustainable, and enjoyable. With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field and fitness industry, I bring a unique, holistic perspective to health and wellness coaching. My approach goes beyond workouts or meal plans—I focus on the whole person, helping clients build healthy habits that encompass mind, body, and spirit for long-term success. A Bit About Me When I’m not working with clients, I’m soaking up time with the two loves of my life: my husband and our fur baby, Jocko. Whether we’re exploring new places, enjoying a comedy show, or catching up with friends and family at home, I treasure the moments that keep me grounded, balanced, and inspired. Also, in my free time, you can find me doing my favorite thing: moving my body! Whether it’s distance running, teaching group fitness classes, strength training, or exploring functional fitness programs, I’m all about doing my best to practice what I preach and finding joy in an active, balanced lifestyle. Becoming a licensed mental health professional in my mid-20s marked the beginning of my own health journey. Growing up, I never truly understood what it meant to be healthy. That changed when I found an amazing community at a local gym—where my passion for movement, fitness, and overall well-being began. What started as a personal commitment led me to become a fitness instructor, a distance runner, and an advocate for all things health and wellness. Along the way, I gained a deeper understanding of the profound connection between physical and mental well-being. In my counseling practice, I take a holistic approach, exploring lifestyle factors that influence my clients’ mental health. Likewise, when working with individuals striving for fitness or health goals, I help them navigate the mental and emotional components that shape their journey. Through my work, I’ve been fortunate to help countless individuals overcome obstacles, rediscover their strength, and achieve their wellness goals.
