I am here for you. Your concerns are unique to you. I would be honored to work with you to resolve problems that burden you or your family. I work with children, adolescents, and adults of any age, couples, and families. My approach is client-focused, and treatment is based on the client’s concerns and goals. I primarily work from a cognitive behavioral approach centered on strength-based and solution-focused interventions. When working with children, I make use of play-based techniques and bibliotherapy. Counseling should provide a safe and non-judgmental space to tell your story and work through your challenges. I genuinely like to listen, and as I hear you, I will validate, encourage, and empathize as I absorb all the thoughts and feelings being shared. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from the University of the Cumberlands. My internship provided a rich experience in working with women and men of all ages, as well as school-aged children, through individual counseling and in a school-based setting. I achieved a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Louisville. Before pursuing a career in counseling, I served in several professional roles related to Human Resources and office management. I have a passion for living purposefully and intentionally. My Christian faith is a constant guide in my life, and I welcome including faith in counseling if this is important to you. I also believe healthy living provides alignment of body and mind for wholeness and peace. My style is relaxed and relatable, with genuine welcoming warmth and humor.
