Introduction

SENSITIVE, EMPATHIC, CREATIVE You’re a quirky, empathic, sensitive and creative woman who is finally ready to motivate and find meaning, but stuck in a negative spiral and struggling with emotions. Many creative and empathic women struggle with highly sensitive temperaments and appear typical on the outside but often feel like a hot mess and struggle in their relationships, parenting, careers. You can learn to ride the wave of urges and emotions and react less intensively. I can’t guarantee emotions will NEVER be an issue. Hey, we’re all human and life is a rollercoaster of emotions. We can’t get rid of emotions, nor do we want to! It’s what makes us human! Anyone can benefit from learning ways to better regulate or express emotions. Anxiety and emotions can suck, which is why you may choose to numb or distract. I will do the work beside you. I will challenge your thoughts and tell you what I think. That nasty voice in your head telling you you’re no good, not smart, thin or pretty enough can “shove it!” I can help you radically accept and LIKE who you are AND find ways to navigate a world that seems much easier for others. Whether it's through lowering the demands on your life and being ok with that or helping you push through your struggles and motivate you to get your goals done. I don't feel there is a one size fits all approach to this. You may think you’ll never heal because of how long you’ve been struggling. But I want to hold hope for you. I will support you in healing from your past, so you can enjoy your present in spite of the daily struggles. To help you break out your perfectionist negative self talk and be kinder to yourself. My work is using your amazing strengths and channeling them towards your values and helping you decide where you need to go. INTUITIVE EATING AND EATING DISORDER THERAPY If you are a chronic dieter or you’ve been in eating disorder recovery for some time, I can help you eat without guilt. What would life be like if you could go out and enjoy the moment without worrying about your body and food as much? Recovery from diet culture is difficult, but the journey is worth it. Learn ways to trust your body so you can enjoy food with flexibility and move in ways that feel joyful. I love intuitive eating when you can get there. However, I find that many people struggling to get out of eating disorders and disordered eating don't know their hunger or fullness cues and struggle so much with this concept. If you're ready to dive in great! but also it's ok if you need to work with a registered dietician who incorporates meal plans so you can get a sense of what your hunger and fullness feels like. Plates and meal plans should never be rigid though bc healing requires some flexibility. While nutrition is important, going to a party or dining with a friend or family and enjoying yourself is what life is about. Let me help you banish the worries of eating foods that don't fit your wholesome lifestyle. Of course if you have food allergies, sensitivities, diabetes or any other health concerns, all foods may not fit. PERINATAL MENTAL HEALTH You're pregnant and struggling with emotional distress and think wth am I depressed before birth?! You had a traumatic birth and don’t feel connect to your baby. Feeding your baby/toddler isn’t as easy as you thought. You ruminate on your child’s milestones and compare them to others. Your marriage or relationship is falling apart and you don’t know if it’s just your postpartum rage or if the relationship is doomed. You lost your identity. Motherhood is way more boring and stressful than you thought and feel like a failure. You think, I can’t do this anymore! INTEGRATIVE MENTAL HEALTH I love to educate about integrative practices for mental health. I'm not a RD or a doctor, so I can't prescribe or give nutritional advice, but we can chat If you're interested about nutrition or integrative practices such as yoga and mindfulness that might be helpful for you. I am offering discussion, not advice or therapy for those interested. Western medicine is amazing but alternative treatments can help as well. I am in person and online in New Jersey. ONLINE only in New York. I am an intuitive eating therapist and I am intensively trained in DBT, Brainspotting 1 and 2, and perinatal mental health through PSI. I’m approved to take the PMH-C test. I truly believe in holistic wellness for mental health. ABOUT ME I am a married mama to two VERY spirited kids. I love yoga and spirituality. I have a passion for traveling and culture and visited many places way too LONG ago, including Romania, Czech republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Egypt, Singapore, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Bali and Costa Rica. I’m a city girl in the burbs embracing being a hot mess sometimes. Life is messy and complicated, but can be wonderfully easy and freeing too if you can be gentle and laugh at yourself. I am trained in trauma so I don’t minimize it at all, but let’s not it let it define your self worth and relationships. You are more than your trauma. Your trauma is real, the pain is valid but you can be resilient if you process it in a deeper and healing way like through Brainspotting. For faster response, please e-mail. At this time mostly daytime weekday hours available. Possible evening hours but very limited.
