Introduction

Are you feeling stuck? Are your relationships suffering? Do you find yourself overreacting or numbing out and feel detached from others? Maybe you've been in talk therapy and have learned coping skills but you're tired of just coping? The brain is an organ designed to heal itself! If you've found little to no relief of symptoms, you may have undischarged trauma. The types of therapies that I offer help to heal that trauma once and for all. EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: Kimberly holds a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado and is licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, and Ketamine Assisted Therapy, three psychotherapy modalities that enable people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of past trauma. Kimberly is also an equine assisted psychotherapist, certified by the Equine Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA). She has experienced first hand the natural healing power of horses and enjoys working with clients in an alternative environment to in-office therapy. She also holds a doctorate in natural health, which she earned in 2013 and is board-certified by the American Naturopathic Certification Board as a Traditional Naturopath. I enjoy spending time outdoors with friends and family, riding horses, practicing yoga, and hiking with my Belgian Malinois. WHAT IS BRAINSPOTTING? Brainspotting is a therapeutic approach that accesses the natural healing abilities of the brain and the body. When we have an experience that is overwhelming, the brain automatically separates it from our consciousness. It’s like putting this experience into a time capsule. Brainspotting can allow you to open these time capsules and more completely process and integrate what was locked away. Doing so can offer healing and clarity. Brainspotting can also help us connect to our strengths and resilience. It can reinforce neural pathways that enable us to be our best selves. The possibilities are limitless! BRAINSPOTTING CAN BE HELPFUL FOR: *Reducing emotional overwhelm *Feeling in your body what you already know in your head *Healing trauma, even without knowing, remembering, or talking about what happened *Reconnecting with your creativity, joy, peace, or confidence *Managing chronic pain *Enhancing performance in sports, music, art, public speaking, and more WHAT IS KETAMINE? Ketamine is a legal, safe and effective medicine used to treat a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety and PTSD. Ketamine has rapidly acting antidepressant and mood-enhancing effects, which can begin to take effect within 1-2 hrs. after treatment. Ketamine has also been shown to enhance overall neuroplasticity for lasting symptom improvement. Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy occurs when Ketamine is used in combination with psychotherapy to help clients experience more frequent breakthroughs and sustained improvement in symptoms. We work as a team; I take on the psychotherapy portion of the experience while a partnering physician determines your eligibility and prescribes the medicine. Together we monitor outcomes. MY APPROACH I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment for the clients that I serve to promote a safe space for healing. I offer a transformational way of working with clients that leads to a deeper and more meaningful life. My holistic and strengths-based approach to therapy helps clients resolve old wounds and integrate all of the many parts of Self into a healthy wholeness. I am an empathic healer whose person-centered approach is compassionate and understanding.
