Introduction

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, my experience includes multiple behavioral health outpatient clinics and substance abuse clinics throughout New York. Through these experiences, I have always felt a calling to assist individuals with mental health issues. My training crosses a lifespan while utilizing Evidence-Based Practice. Trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as utilizing various treatment modalities to treat each individual client adequately. I am capable of helping individuals who are experiencing difficulties with the ability to function due to the inability to manage their emotions physically. Together we will identify biological and environmental factors contributing to the situation. My holistic approach combines western medicine with my passion for listening deeply to your experience. I will listen carefully to your intuition about what your mind and body need to feel safe and grounded. I, Kevin Hamilton, when appropriate, can prescribe psychiatric medications to help reduce symptoms. By going beyond the issues that can bring you into treatment, I will partner with you to help you achieve more satisfaction in your life.
