Introduction

Hello my name is Kenji Watanabe and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I focus on providing an engaging, collaborative, and supportive therapy experience. I aim for clients to gain a deeper sense of connection, freedom, and hope within their self and their most significant relationships. I take a client-centered approach, and I believe in the client's own creativity, strengths, and resourcefulness. I value the client's input and personal goals for therapy, and I adjust my therapeutic modalities to fit their goals. I am passionate about helping clients work through issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, loss and grief, addictions, relationships issues, life transitions, cross cultural issues, or just a general sense of "stuckness" in life. The first step is often times the hardest, so kudos to you if you're reading this. You're one step closer to a healthier today and a more hopeful tomorrow. Personal Bio I was born and raised in Southern California, and I am a second generation Japanese American. My wife and I have been married for over 25 years, and we recently had the joy of living and working in Japan for about 5 years. We love the toasty California sun, and we enjoy hiking, camping, and traveling to new places. We also have two adult daughters, and we are empty nesters.
