At Serene Body and Mind Psychiatry, we emphasize wellness and healing while using holistic and modern medicine practices. We utilize psychopharmacology approaches to manage your mental health needs while incorporating healthy lifestyle habits. Kendra Michel, MD is board certified general adult psychiatry. After completing Bachelors in Biological Sciences at Ohio University, she went on to complete a Masters in Biomedical Sciences at Rutgers University in New Jersey. She completed medical school at American University of Antigua and residency at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. She completed extensive training in inpatient, emergency and outpatient psychiatry including psychotherapy. She is passionate about wellness, self care, and healthy living. Outside of practicing medicine, she enjoys exercising/strength training and encourages her patients to incorporate health lifestyle habits as part of their treatment plan. We currently only see patients virtually (patients must be located in Georgia during time of visit). We see patients from ages 18-65. We do not accept insurance. Upon request, you will be supplied a superbill which you can submit to your insurance carrier to receive out of network reimbursement benefits. Patients are responsible for submitting their own claim. Super bills include a diagnostic procedure code only that can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement of service rendered. The amount reimbursed depends on your insurance carrier and out of network service plan. We currently do not prescribe any controlled substances which includes stimulants (ie. Ritalin or Adderall) and benzodiazepines (ie. Xanax or Ativan). How we begin: Contact us to schedule a 15 minute phone consultation call (leave a voice message, send an email, or request an appointment) to determine if Serene Body and Mind Psychiatry can address your psychiatric needs.
