Introduction

It is my pleasure to introduce myself! My name is Kendra, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and additionally certificated as a School Psychologist. I have Master’s degrees in both Counseling with an Advanced Mental Health Specialization certification, and I am certified as a School Psychologist. I have over 15 years of experience working in outpatient mental health facilities and school settings, Throughout my career I have helped support clients that have struggled with anxiety, interpersonal relations, life transitions, stress, career changes, parenting, divorce, and grief. I strongly believe in the importance of establishing a strong therapeutic alliance and following a client-centered approach to therapy. Providing a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment is paramount for client growth. My goal is to work collaboratively with you, help you prioritize your goals. Everyone deserves to be empowered and happy in their life, and I would love to be that support person to help you do so. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you! My first session with you: Clients frequently express significant anxiety before their initial therapy session, sometimes even considering canceling because of their anxiety. However, many share that within the first five minutes of our time together, that anxiety begins to fade, and they start to feel more at ease. During the first session, I make it a priority to address any questions or concerns they may have right away. Following that, we discuss confidentiality, consent, the therapeutic process, and client expectations moving forward. I am currently onboarding with several insurance companies, but will work with you to make therapy affordable and offer sliding scale rate if insurance is not accepted.
