Introduction
My goal is to help teens and young adults successfully progress through complicated formative years into healthy, flourishing adults. This involves supporting young people as they learn to regulate big emotions, rediscover motivation, improve self-esteem and enrich their relationships. I enter each client's inner world as a compassionate guide, exploring with them the internal drives and external forces behind maladaptive thoughts and behaviors. I enable clients to develop a robust sense of self and strengthen their innate resources to help them overcome obstacles to healthy development. I have extensive experience working with teens and young adults, that struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and disruptive behavior and primarily utilize elements from CBT, psychodynamic theory and mindfulness. I have received additional training in trauma-focused specialties including EMDR and TF-CBT. In my prior life, I had a successful 15-year career on Wall Street before I came to understand that my true calling was to help young people.
