Introduction

Hello, I’m Dr. Kelsey Shogren, a licensed clinical psychologist in California. Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs) Treatment I specialize in treating BFRBs, including trichotillomania (hair-pulling) and excoriation disorder (skin-picking). As someone who has navigated trichotillomania myself, I bring a unique understanding and compassionate approach to this work. I am an active member of the Trichotillomania Learning Center (TLC) and regularly attend annual conferences to deepen my knowledge and support this community. PTSD Treatment I also have expertise in treating PTSD, drawing from years of experience working with Veterans at the VA. PTSD can show up as distressing memories, nightmares, heightened anxiety, irritability, and feelings of detachment––all of which can greatly disrupt daily living. Together, we will use evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and Image Rehearsal Therapy to connect to your values and what is important to you. If you think you might be experiencing symptoms of PTSD, I encourage you to book a free consultation to explore how we can work together toward recovery.
