Kelsey Russom at Flourish Psychotherapy received a Master of Science degree in Clinical Health Psychology from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 2017. Since then, she's worked in clinical settings supporting clients of all ages and from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures. She specializes in treating those with a history of acute or chronic stress and trauma, and conditions that often co-exist such as ADHD, anxiety or OCD, and chronic illness. Her approach to therapy is integrative, drawing from cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, humanistic, and feminist theories in ways that best fit each individual. Her goal as a therapist is to help you build insight into your emotions, experiences, and personal values so that you feel more grounded in who you are and better equipped to make the choices that feel right for you. Clients who are often a good fit with Kelsey are those who are highly motivated for self-exploration and meaningful change—even if they’re not exactly sure what that looks like yet. They’re often seeking to live more authentically and in alignment with their values, and are open to examining the personal and systemic narratives that have shaped their lives. Kelsey is a wife and a mother. She enjoys cooking, gardening, riding her scooter, singing in her local choir, and being active in the Farmington community. She is a member of the Farmington/Farmington Hills Community Health Commission, and is passionate about supporting underprivileged and underserved populations in any ways possible.
