Kelsey Anderson, MA, LADC, LPCC is the founder of Better Mental Health. She specializes in working with teens and young adults to help them address; self-esteem, self-efficacy, addiction, relationship conflicts, and emotional regulation difficulties. She also has experience in working with adults to help them address; addiction, relationship building, increasing communication skills, chemical use and behavioral concerns with their children, as well as helping them find balance in their own lives. She works with families to address any conflictual family dynamics. She prides herself in her ability to build relationships and rapport with her clients; helping them feel more comfortable and trusting of the therapeutic process. She also prides herself in her high standard of ethics. She has been working with adolescents and families since 2007. Her philosophy is to meet her clients where they are at emotionally. In doing so Kelsey is able to develop individualized goals for each client and outline the necessary steps to achieve these goals. Kelsey’s compassion and understanding for her clients allows her to be flexible in her approach to ensure her clients are getting therapy in a way that makes sense to them. Kelsey is uniquely qualified to provide counseling services that address both chemical dependency and mental health issues. She has completed two Master degree programs and is dually licensed. She holds her LADC (License Alcohol and Drug Counselor) as well as a LPCC (License Professional Clinical Counselor). After 7 years of school and internships, and almost 10 years of professional experience working for others in residential and outpatient settings, Kelsey opened her own private practice providing individual and family counseling. Kelsey has over 17 years of experience working in residential and outpatient settings. While working at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation she specialized in working with adolescents, young adults and families. Kelsey furthered her professional development when working in an outpatient setting at M Health Fairview Recovery Services where she specialized in working with adults with co-occurring disorders.
