I started my career at a non-profit straight out of college. I worked with homeless youth by advocating for shelter and basic needs. I went back to graduate school to become a Mental Health Counselor while continuing to work. I eventually worked at a Partial Hospitalization Program providing individual, family and group therapy to youth experiencing acute mental health crisis. I earned my license and officially became a LMHC. I began work at a group practice doing individual therapy and returned to the non-profit world as an administrator. In March of 2020, I became a therapist full-time providing telehealth during the pandemic. Recently, I have decided to start building my own private practice. I have specialized training in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, an evidence-based approach that has gained a lot of popularity in the last few years. Additionally, I have an eclectic approach of ego supportive, CBT, and DBT informed therapy. I adjust my approach based on your needs.
