I believe the connection and individualization of therapy is what makes a lasting impact. Therapy is a relationship between two people with immense trust in one another, that continuously grows with time. Growth happens when your strengths and experiences are used to achieve a higher level of well being. I use a blend of different approaches including Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-focused therapy, Play therapy, Sand-Tray therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to assist in the growth process. I specialize in helping young adults, children, and families. I am versed in working with depression, anxiety, issues related to trauma, loss, attachment, and difficult life adjustment; and have a special interested in working with individuals struggling with substance use addictions or who are struggling with underlying trauma. Emotions are strongly linked to identity, and I would describe myself as a lifelong empath. I am someone who loves to listen calmly to deep and authentic emotions.
