Kelly is an LPC-Associate with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, accredited through the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). She is under the supervision of Allie Sauls, MA, LPC-S. Kelly has a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University. She uses her teaching background in public education when working with children, adolescents, and their families. Kelly is a professional member of the Texas Counseling Association and a member of Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society International. She is a certified member of the National Board of Certified Counselors. Kelly sees children ages 3 and up, teenagers, and families. She is passionate about helping individuals of all ages who are dealing with anxiety, depression, infertility, grief, stress, trauma, life transitions, and relationship issues. In addition, Kelly offers play therapy, family therapy, and ADHD testing. Kelly provides a safe and non-judgmental space as she comes alongside her clients on their journey toward healing, wholeness, freedom, and change. She takes a collaborative approach with her clients and implements cognitive behavioral therapy to help her clients achieve their goals. She believes that past experiences alter the way we think and respond to stressors and challenges. Kelly views change as a process that involves replacing irrational or unhelpful beliefs with rational or more helpful ways of thinking. For younger clients, who don't possess the cognitive development to benefit from traditional talk therapy, Kelly relies on therapeutic play to help her clients process and heal. Kelly can also incorporate faith into therapy if desired.
