I went into the field of mental health because I have a strong passion for helping those who are hurting. I have worked in individual therapy, community mental health centers, and psychiatric hospital settings both as a therapist and a director. My diverse background has equipped me to help adolescents, young adults, and their families struggling with things like depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, social skills, and relationship problems. My approach to therapy is that we are on this journey together. Every therapy session will be focused on you, your goals, and how you want to reach them. I typically use a mindfulness centered approach to help you begin to become aware of your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Going to therapy for the first time can be intimidating, but everyone can benefit from a little guidance on how to become the best version of themselves. It’s my goal for you to leave our first session feeling empowered and hopeful.
