Introduction

I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with nearly 10 years of experience in the mental health field including inpatient settings, residential care, outpatient clinics, and consultation work. I offer psychiatric evaluation and medication management. My experience has crossed the lifespan, from 5 to 105. All backgrounds and identities are welcomed and embraced in my practice. I have so much empathy and compassion for others. I strongly believe in the power of listening as part of the healing process and as a means of partnering with clients to ensure treatment goals are understood. Erase all prior images of psychiatric treatment and be ready to take a breath of fresh air. I am laidback, do my best to make appointments comfortable/stress-free, and incorporate humor where it fits. During our appointments, I will work to get to know you, not just your symptoms. We will review treatment goals and discuss if medication makes sense for you. Reaching out for help is difficult. Mental health treatment itself can be stressful. While I can't necessarily make appointments as relaxing as a spa day, as exciting as a tropical vacation, or as enjoyable as time spent with friends/loved ones, I hope to make appointments something you don't have to dread. Let's work together to get your life back.
