Kaysha earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and her Master’s degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. Kaysha has experience working with adolescents and caregivers through her work. In her career, Kaysha has experience working with children and families who have experienced sexual abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, grief and loss, and additional traumatic events. Through counseling, Kaysha has worked with several different behaviors, including depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidality, and post-traumatic stress. Kaysha is also familiar with the child welfare system after working as a foster and adoption therapist and case manager. She is currently trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Multidimensional Grief Therapy (MGT), and Trauma and Grief Component Therapy (TGCT). My hope is to be able to provide healing and allow space for each individual to learn skills to give them their life back.
