Growing up in a multigenerational household in Phoenix, Arizona, I often turned to art as a way to express myself and process strong emotions. As a young adult, I spent years facilitating craft workshops for both adults and children and discovered that many of my students also found creating art to be a therapeutic experience. This realization ultimately inspired me to pursue a career in mental health. As an art therapist, I specialize in supporting individuals navigating nontraditional family and relationship dynamics, challenging life transitions, accessibility issues, and experiences with depression and anxiety. I believe each person is the expert on their own life, and that art is a powerful tool for self-discovery and empowerment. My approach blends art therapy techniques with traditional therapeutic practices, emphasizing how past experiences influence current feelings and behaviors. In sessions my warm, thoughtful, and empathetic personality helps create a nurturing environment where we can collaboratively work toward healing, resilience, and self-acceptance. As a queer woman, I am committed to providing a safe, inclusive space where clients feel free to express themselves and explore their emotions.
