Introduction

Hello! My name is Kayla and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of WI. I have been practicing psychotherapy for 6+ years and have worked in multiple environments including residential treatment centers, in-home psychotherapy (where I come to you!), traditional outpatient psychotherapy (where you come to me!), telehealth (where we both meet from our own spaces & even horse arenas where I specialize in equine assisted psychotherapy. I strive to make my sessions client centered- meaning that you are in control of your treatment. You should feel comfortable and open to be yourself within any therapy session to reach your desired goals- after all therapy is about you and not your provider. I practice from an eclectic perspective where we will not strictly use one theory of psychotherapy in sessions, but use multiple in the moment to best suite your needs. I am familiar with CBT, family focused, narrative, solution focused, internal family systems and many more. I have experience successfully working with clients with diagnosis ranging from anxiety & depression to personality disorders which have significantly impacted their lives. I work with individuals who have experienced intense trauma in their lives to overcome barriers and live successfully. I also thoroughly enjoy working with couples and families to assist them in creating a healthy and happy living situation for everyone involved. If you're struggling and on the fence about starting therapy, reach out & I'd be happy to chat with you about the benefits and find out if we are a good fit to work together. Kayla Rinkel, MS LMFT
