I am so grateful to meet you! I was born and raised in the North Shore of Massachusetts. I attended Emmanuel College where I obtained my bachelor's degree in Psychology and Philosophy, and went on to the University of New Hampshire to complete my Master’s in Social Work with a Certificate in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. My experience is diverse as it was important to me to gain knowledge through direct work with clients in a variety of settings and at different levels of care. I have worked intensively at all levels of care (inpatient and outpatient settings) with clients recovering with Eating Disorders. During my Master’s degree, I was part of the NH Leadership in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Program where I was able to further my dedication to working with people with disabilities, and advocate for and with those with disabilities for policy change in the state of NH (and in Washington, D.C). More recently, I have worked in school systems on a Special Education team. I have substantial “Macro” and policy experience from my time at a large community agency, where I was able to gain a deep understanding of the “systems” that govern the clinical realm. I would consider myself a big picture thinker with a huge heart for others, and passion for encouraging the change that will impact others' lives. I have held a leadership position working with adults at Lahey Behavioral Care as the “Clinical Care Manager” where I managed a team of nurses and social work supervisees. At this position, I worked with clients with co-occurring substance use diagnoses and complex medical issues. I have deep understanding and long-term experience with individuals and families who are affected by substance use, trauma, and those who are in living in recovery. I have since been working at my private practice. I see clients both at my office in Topsfield and virtually. Sliding Scale is available and I am happy to provide "Superbills" for insurance reimbursement.
