Introduction

Hi, I’m Katy. I am a curious and authentic therapist committed to helping others heal and recover. Clients say I am kind, direct and funny. I have been a therapist for over 14 years and am dedicated to providing impactful mental health care to children, teens, families and adults. My areas of specialty and interest are anxiety, depression, trauma, and neurodiversity challenges (ADHD, Autism, 2E, etc.). Through my previous work as a school-based therapist, I gained a strong understanding of the challenges our kids are facing both in and out of school, as well as how to support parents. I also have extensive experience helping adults navigate and manage their own difficulties to achieve change. ~HOW I HELP~ Life can be difficult, and people come to therapy for many reasons. My approach is grounded in connection and collaboration. Together, we will identify your goals, address past experiences and problems that get in the way of change and healing, and create lasting solutions. I strongly believe that people change through compassionate restorative relationships. I provide a tailored therapeutic approach based on your unique needs and concerns, while utilizing evidence-based approaches and techniques. I provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure & Response Prevention and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing). Also, I am certified in Trauma Focused CBT. I actively seek out and accept feedback about how we are working together and the progress achieved. My priority is to provide a safe and affirming space to help you reach your goals. ~WHO I HELP~ I work with kids ages 8+, teens and adults in-person at my downtown Round Rock office and via telehealth throughout Texas. ~WHAT TO EXPECT~ First, I offer a brief consultation via phone or virtually to discuss what type of therapy and therapist you are seeking. Then, if we mutually agree we are a good match, the first session is scheduled, and emails containing links to complete paperwork are provided. The first session focuses on getting to know one another, exploring what brings you into therapy and beginning to identify your goals. We will also review the intake paperwork already completed and answer any questions you may have. ~INSURANCE & FEES~ I am an in-network provider for Aetna, Cigna, Optum/UHC and Sana Benefits. For all other insurance plans, I am an out-of-network provider. A detailed receipt of services, called a superbill, can be provided upon request. For out-of-network benefit information, please contact your insurance provider. I am also a Spring Health EAP provider. Please contact your employer for more information regarding accessing your Spring Health EAP benefits. ~HOW TO GET STARTED~ Let’s chat! Contact me for a free 15-minute appointment to see if we are a good match. I look forward to hearing from you. My office is easily accessible from N Austin, Cedar Park, Leander, Georgetown, Hutto, and Pflugerville. "The best way out is always through." -Robert Frost
