Introduction

Empowering people to live their best life is what I enjoy doing. I am a black female licensed professional counselor (LPC-MHSP) and helping people navigate this thing called life is my passion. I started Beauty from Ashes to assist individuals and couples with taking their adversities and turning them into successes. As a therapist, I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings with a focus on domestic violence, childhood trauma, substance abuse, and other mental health disorders. I am currently a doctoral student at Capella University. I operate from a person-centered approach because I believe each person is an expert in their own life. I use a variety of modalities which include CBT, DBT, and solution-focused brief therapy.
