Introduction

Katlin is a limited licensed social worker who obtained her bachelor’s degree from Ferris State University. She pursued her master’s degree in social work at Western Michigan University and completed it in 2017 at Ferris State. Her approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that it is an art form, with the potential to create a masterpiece if one is dedicated enough. Katlin’s primary goal is to establish a safe and non-judgmental environment for her clients, where they can freely express their trauma, emotions, anger, confusion, and thoughts. She has experience working with women in the correctional system who have faced extensive trauma, substance abuse, suicidal ideation, and self-harm, as well as individuals in crisis stabilization and psychiatric settings, including veterans, where she conducted group cognitive behavioral therapy and seeking safety interventions. She has also been trained in DBT Therapy through the Psychotherapy Academy.
