Plant propagation is a process in which new plants are grown from the cuttings of an original. Trim a leaf off of a houseplant, place the stem in water, and watch in amazement as roots begin to grow. That little leaf seems to have the most ferocious desire to live and grow and be. With a little care along the way, one can have a house full of thriving plants all because of that one leaf. I see the counseling process mirrored so beautifully in this: we have an inherent ability to grow, and our resilience says so - we are still here, are we not? Sometimes what we need most is someone to come alongside us and promote an environment where thriving and flourishing can happen. I hope you may find that here. I approach the counseling process with curiosity, flexibility, and an immense trust in the client's self-knowledge. I believe that the heart of transformational counseling is a therapeutic relationship centered on trust and safety. The therapeutic process is collaborative as I work with clients to help them gain greater self-understanding, self-compassion, and self-acceptance. I enjoy using creative approaches in counseling to meet each individual's unique needs. I integrate interventions from various perspectives to most effectively meet clients' counseling needs, including ACT, EFT, IFS, and Brainspotting principles. In my non-counselor life, I enjoy time with family and friends, music, reading, coffee, and being outdoors. I would love to get to know you!
