I approach counseling first and foremost with the hope of validating each individual's unique story. I believe that everyone is capable of change, and my goal is to help my clients explore what that change looks like for them. I provide an empathetic and open environment that gives my clients space to grow and heal without judgment. My practice of therapy is eclectic, although I primarily incorporate aspects of brief psychodynamic, narrative, and person-centered therapies. I received my master's degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in South Carolina. While I have a degree in Christian counseling, I also largely practice secular counseling. I engage with each client in a way that is consistent with their belief system and values. I have experience working with young children, parents, and adults, as well as extensive experience working with college students. Other areas of professional experience include: anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual abuse, grief, spirituality, and relational difficulties.
