Introduction

Katie Smith Katie Smith is a therapist and the owner of Windflower Therapy and Wellness. Her interest to intentionally work alongside clients as a professional grew from her experiences in education, advocacy, mentoring and counseling. Katie has specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and EMDR. In her private practice, she works with individuals (16+), couples, and families dealing with painful life circumstances, relational issues, anxiety, depression and trauma. She also enjoys partnering with her clients to identify core values, deepen their faith, strengthen relationships, and build on their communication skills. Katie is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. Katie has worked at schools, a medical clinic, and a large residential summer camp. She interned at The Battered Women and Children’s Shelter and at Haven for Hope, a transformational campus for people experiencing homelessness. While there, she provided trauma-informed counseling to address domestic violence, substance abuse, mental and emotional health disorders, and homelessness. Outside of the office, Katie enjoys spending quality time with her family, two dogs, and friends. She finds joy in traveling, reading, and being outdoors. _____________________________________________________ Bracken McGee Bracken is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Baylor University and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Before seeking a career in counseling, Bracken worked for many years in health care systems and various charitable organizations serving those facing trauma, grief, and loss. As a counselor, Bracken has experience providing counseling services to adolescents and adults in individual, couples, family, and group settings at nonprofit organizations and private practices.
