Hi, I’m Katie. I have a passion for working with women and teens who seek to make a positive change in their lives. I care deeply about your experience in therapy and provide a comfortable, therapeutic space where you can express your thoughts, feelings, and needs. I want you to feel seen and validated and believe in a working relationship that fosters positive self-worth and empowerment. I want to work with you to create achievable goals and provide tangible strategies to empower you in your daily life. My approach to therapy is holistic. In my office you will experience an emotional space for healing, self-realization, and empowerment. Your joy and peace are at the heart of my work. I am committed to helping you create lasting, positive changes in your life by helping to uncover your strengths, practice more self-compassion, and develop a healthier mindset to lead a more fulfilled, emotionally-balanced life. I view my role as your therapist as such a privilege. I am grateful to sit with wonderful women and hear their stories in tender and vulnerable moments. I can’t wait to work with you! With years of experience focusing on the specific challenges women face, Katie is particularly attuned to the pressures related to societal expectations, body image, work-life balance, pregnancy/postpartum, and identity. She specializes in anxiety disorders, depression, self-esteem/body-image issues, perinatal mood disorders, and trauma. Katie’s therapeutic style is warm, supportive, and client-centered. She draws on evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness techniques that help target symptoms caused from anxiety and depression. She tailors these strategies to meet the unique needs of each individual. Katie has a Masters Degree in Social Work from Illinois State University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with previous experience as a Certified School Social Worker in a High School and Junior High setting.
