Finding the "right match" in a therapist can feel impossible. Whether it's your first time looking, or even when it's your second, third, or fourth time after another not-so-great experience. Failed attempts can lead to feeling uneasy of making more attempts, and counseling may feel less attainable or even worse… increase stress. I believe therapy works well when it is a collaborative process. Finding a therapist you trust is key, as I see the relationship between therapist and client as the foundation for authentic growth. Therapy is most beneficial when people feel safe and challenged. The goal is for you to feel more competent, hopeful and happy in life. I will work with you to explore, understand and find strategies to move out of difficult situations. Deciding to seek a therapist can be an important part of healing, growth, and personal satisfaction.
