I am Katie Mai, licensed psychotherapist. The Japanese art of Kintsugi highlights differences as being unique and valuable, mending cracks with gold. My approach to treatment views emotional wounds as opportunities for growth. I help my clients transform their pain into resiliency, finding courage and meaning in the process. I am a graduate of University of South Carolina and Syracuse University. I completed my clinical training at MUSC working in the Psychiatric Emergency Department, National Crime Victims Center, and Project Rex. I have broad clinical experience working with clients experiencing various mental health problems.
