Katie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado and Missouri, and a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker in Kansas. She believes that therapy is a collaborative process between client and therapist, and is honored to provide a safe space for clients to heal. She is a LGBTQ2IAS+ affirming therapist, believes in the worth of all people, and is a provider on GLMA’s LGBTQ+ Healthcare Directory. Katie always takes a strength-based approach to therapy and works alongside her clients to choose the best modality for them. Katie primarily uses Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients reach their fullest potential, and also trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, and motivational interviewing. She has experience with individuals and families across the lifespan and is skilled in a variety of modalities; she is currently working with individuals aged 18 and up. With professional experience in adoption, healthcare, private practice, and integrated care, Katie seeks to understand the many layers and environments that shape individuals and systems. She is a member of EMDRIA and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). As a clinical supervisor, she is enthusiastic about supporting emerging clinicians pursuing their clinical licenses. Katie is an Enneagram 2, True Sky Libra, dog lover, fan of good food and coffee, campfires in the wilderness, burrowing in a book, and reading and writing poetry. She likes to laugh, observe nature, and loves her family to the moon and back.
