She provides a non-judgmental, professional, and compassionate atmosphere for clients to explore thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and values. she is able to provide individual counseling and group counseling. She is experienced working with a variety of mental health concerns including, but not limited to: anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship concerns, life transitions and adjustment, and career services. Katie's philosophical approach to counseling is collaborative in nature and seeks to develop measurable and achievable goals with clients. Her counseling style stems from a strengths-based and solution-focused approach. She believes that the counseling relationship is the foundation for effective change where the client will explore personal strengths, goals, and steps to reach set goals. Sometimes more than one counseling theory can be helpful in dealing with certain situations. During the course of counseling, she may use a variety of approaches to help clients, depending on individual needs and concerns. Treatment may include, but is not necessarily limited to: Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Humanistic and Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Ecotherapy.
