Introduction

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker providing client-centered care to individuals and couples with a specialization in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Each person is unique and deserving of a treatment approach that compliments their personal strengths and goals. However, it is my belief that changing the way we think can change the way we feel, both about ourselves and the way we approach the many challenges we face as people living in a complex world. My clients can expect warm, empathic, non-judgmental care, and a safe space to be themselves. For my undergraduate studies, I graduated summa cum laude with a double major in Psychology and Social Work from Skidmore College in 2010. I went on to pursue my Master's Degree in Social Work and graduated with honors from New York University's Silver School of Social Work in 2012. I have a range of experience working with a diverse clientele both in needs-based public service settings as well as in the private sector. I have worked at the macro-level at a women's healthcare center doing legislative lobbying and advocacy on behalf of our clients and organization in New York State. In direct practice, I have counseled individuals in the community at a local agency, finding unique ways to meet the varying needs of our clients. Additionally, I have worked with older adults in an assisted living community using therapeutic recreation and counseling to improve quality of life and foster a strong sense of community for residents. While I have experience working with clients at many stages of life, through the transition to private practice, I have found that my true passion is helping those struggling with anxiety. As a lifelong learner, I am devoted to staying current in the most effective treatment modalities. My goal is to empower clients through the use of evidence-based techniques, proven effective through scientific research, so that they can find relief from the symptoms preventing them from living their most fulfilling lives, at whatever stage that may be. I invite you to reach out for a complimentary consultation to explore whether my services are the right fit for you.
