Introduction

Hey there and welcome! I understand that sometimes the hardest part of therapy is that first jump. Rapport building and developing the foundation for a healthy therapeutic relationship is of the utmost importance to me. My name is Katie Dauterive, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Louisiana. My passion is to help others grow to be their best and truest selves, to process unwelcome thoughts, and teach coping skills for a better mental state. I know firsthand the search for a therapist that is non-judgmental, compassionate, and empathetic. I look forward to personifying these values in therapy with you. I have experience in multiple fields including child/adolescent behavioral health, juvenile criminal justice, as well as experience in adult substance abuse and mental health treatment. The main populations I work with are adolescents and adults. I mainly stem from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach, but am absolutely eclectic with my practice.
