Introduction

Katie is a Washington State native, born and raised, until her husband's military career brought her to Colorado. During her time in Colorado she completed her bachelor's and master's degree in psychology, completed an addiction counseling program, and earned her trauma professional certification. Katie is currently finishing her second master's degree at Northcentral University in Marriage and Family Therapy. Katie sees adolescents 13 years old-Adults age 65. Katie specializes in addiction and trauma and working with individuals, couples, and families to seek greater health and wellbeing. Katie approaches all clients with a trauma informed lens, utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy to help reframe and redirect negative/distorted thoughts to more helpful ones. Katie utilizes emotionally focused therapy when working with couples, and uses a combination of Gottman, Bowen, and structural family therapy when working with families.
