Introduction

My clients have described me as "not your typical therapist" and have shared that they feel comfortable with me because I am a real, down to earth person who doesn't pretend to be perfect. Since 2008 I have worked in the behavioral health field, serving individuals with mental health and intellectual disabilities. Experiences include working with adults, children, and families in outpatient, home, and community environments. I am a person-centered therapist who utilizes an integrated and holistic approach to empower and support clients in maintaining wellness. Currently, I am learning and implementing animal assisted therapy and nature therapy in addition to using a range of evidenced based approaches including but not limited to CBT/Trauma Focused CBT, DBT skills, psychoanalysis, gestalt and existential therapies.
