Introduction

​​Welcome! Glad you're here, just looking for a therapist can be a big step. My goal as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor is to make you feel safe and supported while exploring difficult topics and navigating life's challenges in a judgment free environment. I do this by building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, confidentiality, empathy, reflection and collaboration. My hope is to provide you with insight and empower you to make positive choices or changes in your daily life. You are the expert on your life. My goal is to help you better understand your thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviors so that you can be the best version of yourself. Experience I have worked for over eight years as a clinical licensed professional counselor at an outpatient mental health clinic in Maryland. There I provided individual, couples and family therapy to adults, teens and children dealing with a variety of behavioral health issues including: anxiety, bipolar disorders, depression, grief/ loss, divorce/ family issues, and other behavioral, stress or adjustment related issues. My clinical interests include perinatal/ postpartum mental health, infertility, anxiety, depression, self-esteem/ identity, mood disorders, parenting skills, LBGTQ+ issues, and life transitions Approach and Education First and foremost I use a strengths based, client centered approach to therapy with all of my clients. From there modalities are customized based on your needs. Most frequently I use psychodynamic counseling, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy. I also have advanced training in perinatal and postpartum mood disorders through Postpartum Support International. I completed my Bachelors of Science from the University of Delaware and my Masters of Science from Johns Hopkins University. I am a Board certified supervisor in the State of Maryland and hold my license has a clinical counselor in both Maryland and Virginia. What to expect: I offer Telehealth services for those residing in Maryland or Virginia. I will return your phone call or email within 24-48 hours. At this time we will discuss your wants/ needs and explore availability. I will be able to answer any questions or concerns you have. We will then schedule our initial session and meet via a HIPPA compliant Telehealth platform. Prior to this session, I will send you a link to the client portal so you can complete the intake paperwork. During our first session, we will review your completed paperwork and I will ask a variety of questions to gain an understanding of your presenting concerns, needs and goals. Insurance/ Fees: I currently accept United Health Care, Aetna, Carefirst BCBS and self pay. I plan to take Cigna in the coming months. For self pay client's, I will provide needed documentation for you to submit to your insurance company to inquire about reimbursement for out of network providers. My current fees are $125 for a 45min indiviudal session.
