She graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Vanguard University of Southern California. After graduating, she spent several years in Southern California working in the field of substance abuse and mental health prior to relocating to Oakland County, Michigan. Katy provides individual therapy services specializing in mental health, stress management, relationship issues, self-esteem, trauma, as well as recovery from substance abuse and addictions. Through her experience, she has come to understand that most people want to know what to anticipate when they enter therapy. She believes that everyone should have a safe and healing place to work through life's difficulties, which is what Hearts & Minds Empowered strives to offer. In working with her, you can expect that she will journey alongside you as you walk together through the difficulties that may be arising in your life. In both her personality and counseling, she offers a warm, safe environment through which her clients can truly be seen and heard.
