Working with children, adolescents, and young adults is my passion and specialty. In working with my clients, my goal is to establish a connection and trusting therapeutic relationship in a nonjudgmental and safe environment that can encourage emotional growth. Each client is unique, so treatment will be tailored to individual needs. My approach incorporates various therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, psychodynamic, and solution-focused therapy. I hold a Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and a Doctorate in Social Work from Rutgers University. I have also been a school social worker for 18 years, which has given me extensive experience with children and families. I work with issues such as depression, ADHD, anxiety, self-harm, stress, and school, relationship, and peer issues, as well as working with LGBTQ+ population. I provide an environment that is filled with warmth, empathy, and acceptance. Life can be stressful. I can help to empower my clients to cope with life's challenges and stressors to improve their lives. With the therapeutic relationship we build together, I look forward to helping you or your child/adolescent acquire skills and strategies to overcome any roadblocks that might be standing in the way of happiness and success.
