A Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Supervisor that works with children through adults, with a specialty in teenagers and young adults. I work with issues ranging from depression, anxiety, trauma, family and relationship issues, women’s issues, eating disorders, perinatal mental health, mood disorders, suicidal ideation, and self-harm. As a mom myself, I am passionate about working with perinatal/postpartum mood disorders and women's issues. I also work with first responders and their families and have training through IAFF. As a therapist, my goal is to eliminate any fears or worries about therapy and make this experience as positive and beneficial for each person I work with. I am passionate about being genuine, supportive, and informative and I strive to provide the knowledge, skills, and support, along with a little humor, to help you create a better version of your life. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy and work to build a complete picture of each person’s emotional, mental, and physical health and their behaviors to better create a collaborative treatment plan to help you meet your goals. My experience prior to working in private practice comes from both an inpatient and outpatient hospital setting, working with individuals in intensive outpatient therapy. I am extensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), however I also believe in an eclectic approach to counseling and also incorporate Art Therapy, Humanistic Theory, Person Centered Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I am a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider (CMHIMP) which enables me to better look for lifestyle and dietary changes that may be impacting your mood and overall sense of wellness. In addition, I have completed Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) training through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). I also am accepting supervision clients for mentorship opportunities for 2023 and 2024. I look forward to working with you on your mental health wellness journey.
